Conservation experience for high school students with school credit.
SEC's newest program works with students ages 15-18 to complete service projects by doing habitat restoration, park maintenance and other conservation work around the Salem area. This is day program, over the course of 4-5 weeks, youth spend about 6 hours per day on their conservation work and one hour in an educational lesson where they can earn school credit and an educational stipend.

This project is a partnership between the Straub Environmental Center, Northwest Youth Corps, the City of Salem and the Oregon Dept. of Fish & Wildlife.
